Auctions We love to sell antiques, furniture and collections at auction! Motley's offers regularly scheduled auctions at our Corporate Office Gallery. If you have only a few items for sale, you can consign them for inclusion in our next auction at our Corporate Office Gallery. We can also conduct an auction on-site at your property location. Internet/Online Bidding Motley's provides online bidding for our buyers during most auctions. Internet bidding benefits both buyers and sellers as there are no geographic limits thereby giving your items the greatest exposure. A local auction becomes a national auction and buyers can participate from the comfort of their home or office. Tag Sales If items are better suited to being priced than being sold at auction, an on-site tag sale can be held. The major consideration in undertaking an on-site sale is that the location must have sufficient interior space and parking to allow a smooth running sale. Motley's tag sales offer fair prices that entice buyers and return a good value to the seller. Tag sales normally cover a two or three day period with a final liquidation day to empty the home so we can leave the house "broom clean." eBay Auction Consignments Motley's is now an "eBay Drop Zone". Complete Estate Services

When you have an estate to settle, Motley's staff can assist you with the appraisal, distribution and sale process of personal property and real estate. We offer the ease of complete liquidation and cleanout to assist executors, heirs, those that hold Power of Attorney, trust administrators, trustees and attorneys.

Certified Appraisals

Motley's appraisals are performed by appraisers certified through the International Society of Appraisers (ISA). Appraisals are necessary for estate tax valuations, gifting strategies, equitable distributions, moving insurance and damage claims.

Expert Witness Testimony

Motley's professional staff is available to deliver expert witness testimony in court or in deposition.

Storage

If storage is required, Motley's maintains secured warehouse facilities with moderate climate control. Storage is available on both a long and short term basis.

Auction/Sale Preparation

Prior to your auction, Motley's will:

• Sort, inventory and catalog your items
• Apply pre-auction estimates; the pre-auction estimate is a carefully considered indication of how much similar items have sold for in the past and is meant to guide bidders on price trends.
• Selected and varied objects are photographed for our brochure

Promotion

• Mail brochures to our constantly updated mailing list which is comprised of repeat buyers and avid collectors and distribute brochures to key retail locations
• Arrange for extensive newspaper and trade journal advertising and prominent event signage
• Catalogs are available to bidders online prior to the sale date and are on hand for the preview and auction days.
• All items are creatively displayed for public preview prior to the auction. We invite the public to view all of the items in a relaxed atmosphere where Motley's professional assistants are available to respond to inquiries.

Auction/Sale Day and Settlement

All of the marketing, advertising, research and planning comes together on auction day. Every buyer is assigned a bidder number. Absentee, telephone and internet bids are invited. Our professional auctioneers create the exciting and competitive bidding environment so necessary to a successful auction and the sale starts!

Motley's utilizes an efficient, stress-free settlement process. Every item sold is entered into our computer system and buyers are given an itemized statement of their purchases. Shortly after the auction, the seller receives a Sales Summary Report along with their check.

Consignment Guidelines

Consigning items to auction with Motley's is only a call or an email away! Several general consignment guidelines follow:

• Furniture and objects must be in clean and usable condition.
• Accessories and small items may be brought to the Corporate Office Gallery for review by appointment. Photographs of larger items may be brought in or emailed to us for review.
• Consignments are accepted upon approval only.
• Transportation is the responsibility of the consignor. Should you need assistance, we will be happy to supply a list of affordable moving companies.
